After the great success, which was undoubtedly "elevens", the time is ripe for the next model in the line. Tinker Hatfield became the main designer again and this time he took the culture of Japan, which fascinated Jordan. The main inspiration is a women's shoe from the 19th century and the flag of the Japanese Navy. Looking at AJ XII, we immediately notice the arrangement of the stitches in the lateral part of the top, symbolizing the rays of the rising sun known from the mentioned flag. The plates in the front part have a texture resembling the skin of a reptile (for example, such a treatment has already been used in AJ II). Starting from Air Jordan V (except VI) on the shoes in which Mike played, No. 23 was placed. It is no different in this case, and the "twenty-three" is not visible in one, but in two places! We notice the classic "23" on the heel, while Michael wanted his number to be slightly different than before. In this way, the embroidered "Two 3" was in the language. Air Jordan XII are the first shoes in the series to use the Zoom Air System. This, of course, has led to a significant improvement in comfort. It not only distinguished the "twelve" from the existing models. If we look closely, we can see that they do not have a single Nike name, not even a bet. The reason is simple - it was the first model ever made under the brand name Jordan Brand. The only accent that Nike performs is the box. Another feature that makes AJ XII so successful is longevity. This is one of the most durable models in the series, mainly due to the use of a large amount of leather and very careful workmanship. Thanks to their rather high upper, they protect the ankle very well, which, together with the comfort and durability, completes the image of one of the best models in the series.
